please welcome to the new website of the Slovak Resuscitation Council. The current need for flexibility and changes has brought to update and enhanced design of interface used for communication with members of the Slovak Resuscitation Council (SRC) acting as the official partner to the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) on behalf of the Slovak Republic.
We have gone through about eighteen months of activity since founding our association, we have taken off to aim for continuous development of a broad range of activities focused on professionals as well as regular public in order to improve their awareness about provision of urgent support to bodily functions. There are still 350,000 to 700,000 people dying of sudden failure of blood circulation system every ear all over Europe; yet prompt and correct aid right at the place of accident could prevent the waste of their lives. Every one of you will agree this is a huge number; that is why this topic needs to be discussed and communicated to the broad public in order to reverse this situation. That is something all you can help with us. Such things can occur within your immediate vicinity – your family and friends, every single one of you.
We strive to aim out activities at promotion of the newly established SRC, to approach people, gain new members and find supporters who care about this situation, as there is really too much apathy among people nowadays. We held our first “European Restart a Heart Day” in Slovakia in the year 2014, this conference is held under the auspices of ERC and the European Parliament on 16th October every year. Since its purpose deals with approaching the broadest range of public and alerting about the importance of proper and timely resuscitation, we have called it the Life Rescue Day with the motto “Your hands can help save lives of people in your vicinity”. And this spirit will be promoted further and broader to emphasize this problem and teach “resuscitation in Slovakia”.
My dear friends, we have chosen the right path. It will be actually long and complicated with a lot of work to be managed, we will need assistance and support but it is definitely the correct one, as it leads to a better and improved care for people facing immediate life threats at any level of rescue activities by means of resuscitation.
Thank you for your support on behalf of the Slovak Resuscitation Council.
